4. How We Use Cookies
A cookie is a small file sent to your browser by a website you visit. Its purpose is to notify the website when you access it again. This allows the website to remember information about your visit and behavior. On your next visits, your browsing experience will likely be more personalized, faster, and more efficient. Therefore, cookies are an important tool for a comfortable internet experience, as long as they are not used in violation of your privacy.

For example, it is because of cookies that you receive ads related to content you have previously shown interest in when visiting news portals, social media, or other websites.

When you access our website, we — including third-party companies we work with — may send these small cookie files to your computer. When you leave or close your browser, these session cookies will expire and stop functioning. However, we may also use persistent cookies for other purposes, such as displaying your email address in our login form so you don’t need to type it again every time you access your account.

We encrypt our cookies so that only we can interpret the stored information. You are free to refuse our cookies if your browser allows it, but doing so may affect the functionality of our website.

We and our service providers also use cookies to:

  • Personalize our services, content, and advertising;

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions;

  • Build trust and enhance security.

You may also encounter third-party cookies when using our services on certain websites outside our control — for example, when viewing a third-party webpage or using an external app. In these cases, a cookie may be placed by that page or application.

5. Device ID
When you access our website through a mobile device, we may receive, collect, and store a unique identification number associated with your device (“Device ID”), as well as information about your mobile carrier, device manufacturer and model, phone number, and — depending on your mobile settings — geolocation data, including GPS coordinates (i.e., latitude and/or longitude) or other similar information regarding the location of your mobile device.

We will not collect your precise geographic location without your consent. However, we may determine the city or country where you are located. Similar to how we use IP addresses, we may link your Device ID to any contact information or other personal data you provide as a result of accessing our website.

6. How We Use the Collected Information
For control and security purposes, we will use the collected information and data exclusively for the purposes of our website, in order to:
(i) present our products, technical, agronomic, and commercial information, as well as where they can be found; provide technical support; evaluate professional information and offer job and internship opportunities; and encourage producers in general to follow good planting practices;
(ii) ensure the security and proper functioning of our website;
(iii) analyze usage profiles for statistics, improvements, development of new features, and data analysis;
(iv) send information, updates, announcements, and advertising;
(v) perform account activation and contact management.

For our internal analysis, we may collect information about your activity while using our website. We may also use the processed data to send notifications, updates, promotions, and advertisements, both through the website and to the email you registered. You may choose to disable this feature at any time by sending an email to privacidade@limagrain.com requesting to stop receiving communications or by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the end of any email.

We comply with the provisions of Law No. 13.709/2018, the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), which establishes principles such as: respect for privacy, informational self-determination, freedom of expression, freedom of information, communication, and opinion, inviolability of intimacy, honor, and image, economic and technological development, innovation, free enterprise, free competition, consumer protection, human rights, personal dignity, and the exercise of citizenship.

During the execution of our activities, corporate transactions may occur, and in such cases, collected information and data may be transferred to third parties without prior notice or authorization. In such situations, this Privacy Policy and the way data is handled will remain unchanged until further updates.

Aside from the situations explicitly mentioned in this Privacy Policy, we do not disclose any personally identifiable information provided in your registration to third parties. However, if we receive a request from a competent authority in compliance with legal obligations (whether in Brazil or abroad), or in cases of violations or suspected violations of this Privacy Policy or applicable laws, we may share your personal data, restricting disclosure to the minimum necessary to meet legal requirements.

In the event of changes in the purpose or method of using your information that are not compatible with your original consent, we will notify you in advance, allowing you to revoke your consent and cancel your registration if you do not agree with the new terms.

7. Relationship with Partners
We do not share information that identifies you or makes you identifiable, such as your name or email address, unless you give us specific permission to do so.

You expressly authorize us to process your personal data to send personalized advertisements and promotions, either from us or our partners, through the website or to the email you registered.

If you choose not to grant us authorization to process your personal data for personalized ads and promotions, your information will not be shared with partners. However, you may still receive non-personalized advertisements.

Our website may also be integrated with or interact with third-party apps and websites, which must have their own terms of use and privacy policies. The use of third-party sites and apps is never governed by our Terms and Conditions or by this Privacy Policy.

For example, we use Google Adwords Remarketing to display ads on Google partner websites. This feature allows Google to recognize that you visited our website, so Google may display our ad to you on different websites.

You understand and agree that we do not endorse and are not responsible for the behavior, features, or content of any third-party website or app, even if initially accessed through our website, or for any transactions you may conduct with third-party providers on such websites and apps.

We do not guarantee compatibility or continuity of any compatibility between our website and third-party platforms.

To display ads and notifications, we require our partners to fully agree to comply with this Privacy Policy and to commit to respect it for all legal purposes.

8. Responsibility, Protection, and Security of Your Information and Data

We understand the importance of the security of your information and data. Therefore, we implement best practices to keep all data we receive protected. However, even though we take appropriate technical measures to safeguard your information, we cannot guarantee complete security of your data, nor can we assume responsibility for interceptions or unauthorized access.

We process your data in compliance with data protection legislation. We use technical and administrative measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, communication, or dissemination, as well as to prevent damage arising from its processing.

If we suspect or detect any security or privacy breach, we may take preventive measures, including suspending your registration or partially or fully suspending the operation of our website, both without prior notice.

You should also take steps to protect yourself from unauthorized, illegal, or accidental access to your account, such as using strong and unique passwords, accessing the site only from personal devices, and logging out after using our website.

Your password is an important security element. Since it is personal, you are responsible for keeping it confidential and are fully responsible for all activities performed using your login and password. You are also responsible for ensuring the security and protection of your information, taking precautions to prevent data breaches.

If you suspect that your account or information is not protected or has been compromised, notify us immediately at privacidade@limagrain.com.

As required by law, we will notify the competent authority and the data subject of any security incident that may pose a risk or significant harm. Therefore, it is extremely important that your contact information is up-to-date.

As a data subject, you have the right to file complaints with the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) if you are concerned about or identify an incident regarding how we process your personal data.

  7. It is necessary to meet our or third parties’ legitimate interests.

We will retain information about access to our website (IP address, date and time, name, and CPF when provided) for a minimum period of six (6) months, as required by Articles 5, items III and VIII, and 15 of Law No. 12.965/2014.
